golf out west, a short story
by luke mangan
A solemn man slowly approaches the bar at a saloon in Santa Fe.
“Beer, please.”
“What’ya want?”
“Your coldest.”
“Sure. Where ya in from?”
“Just West of here.”
“Nice out there?”
“Sure.”
“Hot?”
“Hot.”
Neither speak for a few minutes, til the bartender breaks the silence.
“Good golf out there?”
The man finally cracks a smile.
“Great golf out there.”
you get the gist.
one mention of golf can turn the most downcast of men into a beaming ray of sunshine with a dazzling smile to match.
my shortest newsletter to date I do believe. Get out there and play some golf this weekend.
Cheers,
